Approximately 15’000 red deer are hunted annually in Switzerland.
Astonishingly, the majority of these deer hides are disposed.
Here is our story told by the founders…
Probably the most natural black leathershoe you can find.
It was in summer 2018 in Steffisburg BE, Switzerland, at Jürg Zellers tannery,
when his colleague Andi came up with the solution
to our aim for a most natural blackened, Valonea oak tanned red deer leather.
And it was the day before Xmas, when Silvano Sassettis shipment
of our first natural black Cervo Volante shoes arrived at Store Zurich.
The solution ain’t no secret, it’s a forgotten, traditional method.
