A welted Derby low shoe is like perfectly fitting trousers – put it on and you’ll be ready for the challenges of the day. The GAMPERFIN is slim and timeless, with simple seams turned inwards and an almond-shaped toe cap. Only a fine piping line surrounds the lacing of our more is less derby made of wild Swiss red deer leather.
Cervo Volante deerskin shoes are designed and handcrafted by Piret Pupart at Silvano Sassetti in Monte San Pietrangeli, Italy. Welt sewn and with a Goodyear Flex cork sole for a soft roll.
The shoes are equipped with a pure, noble leather sole in Italian style or with a fine anti-slip latex sole. Please specify your preference by the order.
The shoes are made of 100% Swiss deerskin, from animals that lived in the wild and were shot there on the hunt. The bumps and scratches on the leather are traces of this wild life and a sign of authenticity and uniqueness. All leather is 100% vegetable tanned in the canton of Bern, without chrome and without synthetic tanning agents.
The colours correspond to the natural colouring caused by the tanning process. This model comes in the following colours (as long as available):
Cognac (tanned with MIMOSA/QUEBRACHO)
Olive brown (tanned with VALONEA OAK)
Dark brown (tanned with oak and dyed with iron oxide brown)
Black (tanned with oak and dyed black with charcoal)
* We have no idea where that strange, probably old rhaeto-romanic name comes from. However, GAMPERFIN is situated in the area of Werdenberg, in the alpine valley, close to the majestic mountain range of Churfirsten. Some of our red deer skins come from GAMPERFIN.
