Oris is working hard to produce watches more sustainably, improve the efficiency of its factory and supply chain, and reduce emissions. Last year, the Swiss company was certified by Climate Partner as a carbon-neutral company for this effort.<\/p>\n

\u201cA mechanical watch is a sustainable product \u2013 it uses existing kinetic energy and is designed to last. Oris focuses exclusively on mechanical watches. We have not produced a quartz model with a disposable battery since 1995.\u201d<\/p>\n

These pioneers include conservation organizations such as the Coral Restoration Foundation, the marine conservation organization Everwave, and the Wadden Sea Secretariat. For Oris, however, nature \u201con the doorstep\u201d also counts. With 15 of its worldwide subsidiaries and a total of around a thousand people, Oris has collected trash as part of worldwide clean-up events. These collaborations and engagements have resulted in Oris special editions that express the company\u2019s environmental efforts: A diver\u2019s watch with a strap made of recycled PET and a watch case made of algae material, or the Aquis Date Upcycle with a dial made of recycled PET.<\/p>\n
